I don't have everything that my device came with. Can I still sell it?
Yes! We gladly accept your old electronic devices and gadgets even if you don’t have everything that it came with. However, on some items this may have an impact on the price we can offer. Please note, the power lead is essential for some items such as laptops, games consoles and sat navs. Without the powerlead we will automatically value the product at zero. If you are in any doubt please feel free to contact customer services using our live chat facility found on every page or alternatively email us on contact@weeebuy.co.uk and we can help you through the process for the items that you wish to recycle.
Is there a limit to the number of items I can sell to weeebuy?
No! The more items you sell, the more cash you make and the bigger the benefit to the environment. Recycle five or more items in one transaction and we will reward you with an extra £5!.
If you are a school, organisation or business please email corporate@weeebuy.co.uk and we will gladly arrange a collection and make you an offer to save you entering large volumes through the weeebuy website.
What if I can’t find my item?
At weeebuy our aim is to help you unlock the cash from your electronics. That’s why we will aim to provide a personalised offer on any working electronic product not listed on our site. If you don’t see your item, use our ‘cant find my weee’ form and we’ll research it and let you know if we can make you an offer within 48 hours however we may not be able to collect certain items free of charge depending on weight.
How does weeebuy determine the value of my item(s)?
weeebuy has a team of industry leading electronic resellers and recyclers. Their experience and knowledge is combined with weeebuy’s algorithm software technology to produce the price you see on screen for your old gadgets.
What happens if you disagree with the condition I select for my item(s)?
All such initial website quotes are pending our evaluation of your gadgets and no binding offer is made until we have had a chance to inspect the gadget that you send to us. We determine the value of your item based on our systematic analysis of the gadget and the current marketplace. Many factors are taken into consideration, such as the age of the device, the manufacturer and model of the device, the wear and tear apparent on the device, whether the device is usable and or intact and other elements that would affect its resale value or costs of repair to the device. It is important you grade your item correctly when registering your order, as we can only grade items in the condition we receive them in and value them accordingly. Should your item be regraded, you will be sent a notification e-mail and we will continue to process your order and recycle your item(s) in line with the WEEE directive. Please note, we cannot return items once we have received them in.
How does weeebuy pay me?
weeebuy will send payment via BACS, cheque or your chosen voucher option by mail. You can select which method of payment you prefer as part of the checkout process and the payment period may alter depending on your choice.
How long does it take from the time I send my gadget(s) to you for inspection to the time I receive my payment?
Typically we recommend up to 14 days from order placement. However in most circumstance you will receive payment much quicker.
Payment times do alter between various payment options but it also depends on our postal services. Usually it only takes a few days for the postal service to return us your product but if a strike occurs or anything happens out of our control, then naturally there will be a delay to your payment. If this situation does occur we’ll work around the clock to make sure that we get it processed as soon as we receive your gadgets.
If you have a larger order or product that qualifies for a FREE courier collection, weeebuy will provide a free of charge courier service to increase security and speed of delivery. During your order process you will be given the chance to arrange a courier collection date and time that suits you. You should make a note of any reference given for order tracking. Once we receive an item, we turn it around as quickly as possible, and update you as to our progress. We notify you once we’ve received, inspected your item and when payment is on the way. Please allow a few days for payment to arrive after you receive the confirmation email.
Does weeebuy accept items from outside of the United Kingdom?
Yes. However, we do not offer this facility directly through the website please email corporate@weeebuy.co.uk with full details and a customer service representative will get back to you.
What does weeebuy do with the items it purchases?
weeebuy is a reuse and recycling specialist. We believe in sustainability. If there is a way for us to satisfy global demand for technology without it having an impact on our environment then we’ll do it. That’s why most of the items we reintroduce into the market are utilized in emerging markets where demand for electronics is high and equipment can effectively be given a second life!
How should I package my item?
You should carefully package your item to ensure that it is not damaged in transit. If you qualify for a freepost envelope, we suggest that you try and include old newspapers, bubble wrap, or other environmentally-friendly packaging material to cushion your item. Alternatively, we suggest that you send your items via Royal Mail special delivery or recorded delivery for added security and speed of delivery. Sending products by freepost to weeebuy is at your risk and we will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur in transit. How will weeebuy collect my electronics?
As a standard method of collection we send a freepost recycle envelope for orders including smaller products able to fit in it. We suggest that you send your items via Royal Mail special delivery or recorded delivery for added security and speed of delivery. weeebuy will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur in transit. If your electronic items are particularly valuable, we suggest that you send them via recorded delivery to the relevant value for cover. Our recorded delivery address is:

If you send in your own packaging, please ensure you include a note with reference to your order number.
For larger items such as laptops, digital SLR cameras with removable lenses and games consoles we send a courier to collect your product. You will also qualify for a free courier service when you sell five or more products with weeebuy. When we receive the product at our warehouse you will be notified and your account will be updated automatically so you can track your order status day by day.
Is there any cost for using weeebuy?
No, there is no cost to you at all. It simply there to help you sell your old gadgets and electronics, track them through the process and get your cash fast as possible.
I forgot my weeebuy account password. What should I do?
If you have forgotten your password, click on "Forgot your password" link at the sign-in page. Just follow the on-screen directions to reset your password.
How do I track my electronic gadget order with to you?
To track your order, please log in to your weeebuy account created when you placed your items. You should receive a password and username that can be reset at any time.
What is the weeebuy recommend a friend service?
The weeebuy recommend a friend is a referral plan designed to reward our loyal recycling customers who encourage their friends to use weeebuy. Every time you bring a new recycler to the site and they sell their first gadget to weeebuy, we will pay you £2.50 for the referral into your weeebuy account. Simple!
I have not received my gift card or vouchers, can you resend them to me?
If we sent your payment by recorded delivery and you were not available to sign for it or never received it within the timeframes stated, please let us know so we can investigate where the payment has gone. If necessary we can resend you another payment on a date that is more convenient. Your other payments will be cancelled.
What if my electronic item(s) go missing during transit?
This is a rare occurrence, which is unfortunately out of our control. With the number of gadgets that come into weeebuy every day there is always a chance that a package may not reach us. If this situation does occur however, our team will phone you up to explain and it will be your responsibility to liaise with the postal service or courier to track the package. This is another reason why recommend sending your gadgets by recorded delivery if you do not already qualify for a courier collection.
How long is my order valid for?
We allow up to 14 days for you to send in your old gadgets. If we do not receive it within this timeframe we will void your order and send you an email to tell you. A reminder email will be sent to you if we don’t receive your items 10 days after placing the item.

How does the weeebShop work?
Our weeebShop is an area where you can take advantage of great offers from our electronic retail partners. weeebuy solely offers to promote offers and buy back your old electronics. Our retail partners are responsible for fulfilling all online orders placed in the weeebShop area of the website. weeebuy will not be held responsible for any orders placed with 3rd party shopping partners. We are responsible for purchasing and managing the resale of your old items.
How can I guarantee that my data is wiped from my items?
We operate on a strict no data-transfer policy. What that means, is that every product which is sold on weeebuy and enters our warehouse will receive a total free of charge data wipe, factory reset or software upgrade. We work with Blancco, a leader on data erasure and also CheckMEND, a service of Recipero who are a global leader in the collection of information relating to personal property ownership and all associated information. We do not charge extra for these services unlike some providers.
What is the weeebshop and how does it work?
The weeebshop allows users of our website to earn purchase new electronics with our retail partners. All orders are controlled and managed by our external retail partners who confirm should be contacted about any transaction. weeebuy.co.uk holds no responsibility for weeebshop transactions.
All customer service related queries such as product damage, missed delivery and other common reasoning are at the responsibility of the retail partner not weeebuy.co.uk.
Which products qualify for freepost or Courier collection?
Collection methods will alter depending on the gadgets you are selling to weeebuy for cash or vouchers.
Freepost collection:
- Orders with under 5 items including small products such as mobile phones, MP3 players, compact digital cameras, Sat navs and small games consoles such as Nintendo DS qualify for freepost collection. Upon placing an order, a freepost bag will be despatched in the post. Note: although we provide freepost as standard collection, we suggest you send your order by Recorded Delivery to ensure it arrives in a timely fashion to weeebuy safely and securely. We cannot be held responsible for any delays or loss/damage to products in transit.
Courier collection:
- Orders with five or more items from the range of gadgets available to sell on weeebuy plus orders including: laptops, camcorders, Digital SLR cameras, e-book readers and large games consoles all qualify for free courier collection. You will be given your opportunity to book a courier online when placing an order including one of the above items.
Self delivery method:
- Hair straighteners are the only product that we cannot collect on a singular order basis. Unless they are included in an order containing a courier product outlined above, or in an order containing 5 or more products, we cannot collect them free of charge and advise that you use your own jiffy bag, packaging the product with old newspaper or bubble wrap. I can’t find my mobile phone IMEI number. What should I do?
Every mobile phone has an International Mobile Equipment Identity number or as we refer to it in short, IMEI number. We require this number for all mobile phones traded on weeebuy.co.uk to conform with an industry code of practice.
To find it, simply enter *#06# into your phone and a 15 digital number should be displayed on the screen. If your handset displays more than 15 numbers or is separated by symbols, please enter first 15 numbers only.
Alternatively, if you cannot find your IMEI by doing the above, you can usually find you IMEI printed on the back of your mobile phone or on the SIM gate of most Apple iPhones.
