Laptop recycling news: VoIP popularity 'rises each year'
17 October 2011
Businesses considering laptop recycling may be interested to hear one expert's comments on the increasing popularity of VoIP.
Dave Dadds, deputy chairman of the Federation of Communication Services and managing director of Vanillaip.com, described how more and more companies are moving towards using the service.
He noted that while VoIP has been around for "some time", the "pick up gets greater and greater every year", as organisations "realise the benefits" the technology gives.
"There's some big deployments and small deployments among all sorts of businesses these days and certainly it's a serious consideration for any business that's looking to replace their telephony systems," Mr Dadds stated.
The specialist explained how cloud-based services are set to be a company's default solution in the future, as firms look for ways to save money and streamline functions.
It was recently suggested by Trefor Davies, council member at Itspa and chief technology officer at Timico, that switching to VoIP can help businesses save a considerable sum in line rental.
